They Want to Go Camping... And It's Storming!
It’s raining. Actually it’s storming like crazy!
What do my kids want to do? My kids want to go camping…
Obviously we didn’t go camping. They were happy with what we came up with!
Of course, everyone loves s’mores. I would venture to say that s’mores are probably the highlight of most peoples camping experience.
Surprisingly, I had everything I needed in my pantry to make these adorable s’more cookies!
We pulled out a little circle cookie cutter, marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate kisses.
Here’s how to make your own yummy s’more cookies for a rainy day:
Use your cookie cutter to punch out graham cracker circles. We were able to easily get two per graham cracker rectangle. Just be sure to push straight down, quickly.
Cut large marshmallows in half. Add one to each graham cracker circle.
When you are finished place your graham crackers and marshmallows in your oven for a few minutes. Watch them close they will brown quickly. Your kids will love watching them get huge as they warm up.
Once they reach the desired golden brown color, remove them from the oven and push a chocolate kiss into the center of each marshmallow.
Place them back in the oven for just long enough to let the chocolate get soft.
Allow them to cool before letting your kids touch them. They are very hot!
