Updates All Around
Each summer I spend a ton of time making sure everything is up to date and ready for the new school year. Each year you can get a copy of our new scope and sequence for all of the themes we will be using for the coming school year.
I also read back through each and every theme making sure everything is perfect and tweaking anything that needs tweaks for the new school year. Since themes like J is for Jellybean have to move dates each year (because Easter moves weeks and sometimes a full month from year to year) it causes the whole sequence to shift. As noted in each Themed Unit, they can be taught independently and in any order, but many people have requested a recommended order. Some years the tweaks are as simple as looking for typos and some years they are a full redesign. All themes were completely redesigned for the 2015-16. This year I kept the updates simple. The biggest noticeable changes are to the size of the Early Emergent Readers and Journals.
Over the past year a lot of requests have come in asking me to reformat the Early Emergent Readers and Journals to a 8.5" x 5.5" size for easier cutting and binding. Though I loved my little square journals, I decided that the size adjustment made sense. They are now all updated and ready for the new school year!
